It’s comfortable but makes a squeaky sound when moving. I was busted by a good buck last season. Buck came in fast and stopped, as I shifted, the knee pad made a sound. Buck was gone. It was not the pad rubbing against the tree that made the sound. I was able to duplicate it after so didn’t use again. Maybe i received a bad one?
I've only used the band at the PA show so far, as I just received mine in the mail. Really anxious to try this thing out come fall. I believe I'm gonna love it. Felt really good in trials.
Works well. Gives nice relief for a typical saddle leaner. I'm not one to sit a lot but this definitely helps. I found it more comfortable to place the strap just under my knees. Only a couple improvements needed imo:
1. Needs a little more cushion.
2. Need a tan or brown option... the black stands out a little more than I'd like in a tree.
3. It's a little noisy on the bark when getting set and standing back up. Don't know if there is a good solution to this though
The SlingR is a very useful piece of gear for saddle hunters. I've been hunting from a saddle for 15 years and the worst part about it has been dealing with knees against the tree. I've tried every possible way to improve knee comfort but nothing has worked as well and with as little bulk as the SlingR. It'll be used on every saddle hunt from this point forward. I would like to see a version 2 made from a quieter material and potentially a bit more padding, but without adding much bulk. Additionally, a "keeper" on the g-hook would be a nice touch as well.
