SUB-2 LB PERFORMANCE. NO COMPROMISE.

RZR™ SUB2 PLATFORM

Mobile hunters go farther and demand lighter gear—but most ultralight platforms sacrifice performance.

Arsenal™ developed the RZR™ SUB2 Platform to break the 2 lb barrier without compromise.

Designed for minimalist hunters, SUB2 delivers full-feature performance in an ultralight package. The ultra-thin profile minimizes bulk while maintaining stability and comfort.

The result is maximum mobility without sacrificing capability.

Ultralight SUB-2 lb Architecture

Weight Reduction Engineered for Real Mobile Hunting

Many ultralight platforms achieve low weight by stripping away structural integrity, standing comfort, or critical usability features. While they may reduce pack weight on paper, they often introduce instability, foot fatigue, and reduced confidence once hunters are actually suspended at height.

The RZR™ SUB2 was engineered to push below the 2 lb threshold without abandoning the structural performance expected from a full-feature hunting platform. Through advanced CNC machining, optimized chassis geometry, and strategic material reduction, Arsenal eliminated unnecessary mass while preserving platform rigidity, stability, and real-world usability.

At just 1.95 lb, SUB2 dramatically reduces carried weight during long walks and aggressive mobile hunts while still delivering the confidence, control, and standing support required for all-day performance in the tree.

FRONT TAPERED COMFORT EDGE

2.6" Angled Front Edge at 10°

Designed for hunters who prefer a balance of leaning and standing. The shorter, shallower angle provides comfortable support while preserving more usable platform space for standing upright and repositioning your feet.

ULTRA-THIN PROFILE

Compact Carry Without Sacrificing Capability

Large or heavily reinforced platforms often become cumbersome during transport, creating unnecessary bulk that interferes with pack integration and movement through the woods. Even lightweight systems can feel intrusive when excess platform thickness pushes the load farther away from the body.

The SUB2 was developed around a highly compressed low-profile architecture that minimizes platform thickness while maintaining structural integrity under load. The streamlined 1.2-inch profile allows the platform to ride flatter against packs and saddle systems, reducing snag points and improving overall mobility during long approaches and climbing movement.

The result is a platform that carries exceptionally clean without feeling stripped down once deployed at the tree.

CNC-Machined ComfortFlex™ Chassis

Tuned Structural Response for Long-DurationStability

Many ultralight platforms are engineered to be as rigid as possible, but excessively stiff standing surfaces can transmit constant pressure and vibration directly into the feet during extended sits. On the opposite end, overly flexible platforms create instability and reduce confidence under dynamic movement.

The RZR™ SUB2 chassis was precision CNC-machined to achieve a highly controlled balance between rigidity and compliant flex. Through strategic material shaping and load-zone engineering, the platform maintains exceptional structural strength while allowing a subtle degree of natural flex under standing pressure — what Arsenal calls ComfortFlex™. Rather than feeling harsh or dead underfoot, the chassis absorbs micro-load variation and distributes standing pressure more progressively throughout the platform.

The result is a more forgiving and comfortable standing experience that reduces foot fatigue during all-day hunts while still maintaining the locked-in stability and responsiveness required for aggressive movement and confident shot positioning at height.

RopeLok™ Attachment System

Mechanical Lockup With Quiet, Controlled Tensioning

Many lightweight platform systems struggle to maintain consistent tree engagement under load, especially across varying bark textures and tree diameters. Inconsistent tension can introduce platform shift, while noisy attachment hardware and stiff rope systems create unnecessary disruption during setup.

The RopeLok™ system was engineered to generate stronger and more repeatable platform engagement through an efficient mechanical tensioning architecture that allows the platform to cinch tightly and predictably against the tree. Integrated with Arsenal’s DuraBraid™ rope system, the platform maintains smooth tensioning characteristics while minimizing metallic contact noise and excess hardware movement during set up.

This creates a setup process that is faster, quieter, and more confidence-inspiring while delivering the locked-in underfoot stability hunters need during movement and extended sits.

Integrated Carry & Noise-Dampening System

Streamlined Transport for Mobile Hunting Efficiency

Loose carry methods and exposed contact points often create unnecessary movement, clatter, and inefficiency while transitioning between setups. Poorly integrated transport systems can also complicate pack organization and slow deployment once at the tree.

The SUB2 integrates a dedicated MOLLE-compatible carry interface alongside strategically positioned noise-dampening bumpers that reduce unwanted platform contact noise during transport and setup. The streamlined carry architecture keeps the platform positioned securely against packs or saddle systems while minimizing movement-related sound throughout mobile use.

The result is a cleaner, quieter carry experience that improves overall mobility, protects critical contact surfaces, and helps maintain stealth during highly mobile hunting scenarios.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Customers praised this ultra-lightweight saddle platform, saying it "bites crazy hard" and offers "amazing quality." Most love the compact size and sub-2-pound weight, though one noted limited angle adjustment. While pricey, shoppers feel the "outstanding quality" justifies the cost. The rope keeper clip is appreciated for convenience.

Amazing

I didn’t think we'd get to under 2 pounds on saddle platforms, but here we are. Its a little on the pricey side, but once you hold one and feel the quality you understand why. When it bites, it bites hard. You literally have to pull it off the tree after you disconnect the rope. 5 Stars for sure. Wish I would have bought one sooner.

Does NOT disappoint!

I got my sub2 today and had to run and test it out. First impressions, this thing is phenomenal. Excellent craftsmanship, the quality and finish are 2nd to none. Feels solid on the tree and bites like no other. Can't wait to get out this season and really use this thing.

I wanted something a little lighter and easier to carry through the dense forest in Washington. Not only is it that, but it’s amazingly comfortable to stand in and maneuverability is equal to my bigger platform. The only thing that I do not like about this is having to wait another two months for hunting season to open. This is not a stand, it’s a work of art. Worth every penny!

Perfect if you’re after super light setup

Perfect if you’re after super light setup. Slightly smaller than my cruzr, but worth it for me. Quality and attention to detail down to the keeper on the rope is top notch

Same Outstanding Quality as RZR MAG 2.0

I’ve been running the RXR Mag 2.0 for a season and a half and absolutely love it. Needed a second full kit so I got the Sub2 for my main pack and it’s the same outstanding quality. Bites the tree just as hard and is even more mobile. I got it for the size, not the weight because the Mag is already so light. If I were to give it any critique it’s that maybe it flexes a little more? But I don’t care. At that point I’m on my tether and confident. I’ve killed two deer off of it in the last two weeks in two different states. Amazing quality as usual. Love how it folds into itself and how small it gets. Great job.

Finally, a Platform That Gets Everything Right

Weight is a huge factor for me when it comes to platforms, and the Sub2 coming in right around 2 pounds is industry-leading. The next most important thing is packability — and on that front, these platforms aren’t just ahead of the competition… they’re in a league of their own.

Sure, they’re not cheap. But the workmanship leaves zero doubts about safety or quality. Combine that with one of the lightest platforms on the market and the smallest collapsed profile, and it’s absolutely worth every penny.

If you’re looking for the best of the best, look no further.

Impressive, most Impressive

This bites crazy hard when set correctly. The slim profile, machining is amazing. Plenty of room to turn around with size 11 boot. Easy to work rope with a few practices. My only concern is the limited adjustment of angle, it has the least amount compared to other platforms I have used.

SUB2 platform

Just received the SUB2 platform after a lengthy weight. My thoughts are first it's advertised as sub 2 lbs, on my scale it came in at 2.10 lbs w/o attachment method. I know that's nitpicky but it's not a deal breaker cause it's super light and that's what I was after in a platform. I don't like the attachment system that comes with it mainly because if you are putting this up in a hunting scenario, the platform is not going to be right in front of your face to do all that looping as directed. I chose an amsteel rope mod that is much easier from the side to use on this platform and sterdier then the dyna rope. Now the positives: EVERYTHING else. It's light and extremely compact and I love the clip That you can use on your saddle Molle webbing. It bites incredibly to the tree to The point that one you go to take it down and unwrap the amsteel the platform sticks to the tree! I will definitely get my $300 out of this platform and enjoy doing it!! Kudos to Hunt Arsenal and their products. All the negatives where strictly my personal preferences and not anything to do with manufacturing.
