MAXX™ STEP Double Climbing Stick Aider - Hunt Arsenal - Climbing Systems
MAXX™ STEP Climbing Stick Aider Sale price$39.00

TOTAL CONFIDENCE ON EVERY ASCENT

Traditional aiders help hunters gain height, but many introduce instability, poor foot placement, and uncertainty during the climb. MAXX™ STEP Aiders were designed to solve those problems. The solid-step platform and aggressive tree-gripping teeth create a more stable climbing experience, helping hunters move efficiently and confidently from the ground to hunting height.

Built For Real Foot Placement

Unlike traditional rope and webbing aiders that can twist, sway, or collapse underfoot, MAXX™ STEP Aiders provide a structured stepping surface that makes climbing feel more natural and predictable.

Tree-Gripping Stability

Aggressive teeth bite into the tree to help minimize movement during the climb, creating a more confidence-inspiring connection between hunter and tree.

"I just want to say, I received my 2 MAXX Aiders last week and I couldn't be happier. I've tried all kinds of aiders and they were all a waste of time and money. These aiders are the best out there by far. They give you confidence to climb up and down without worry. I will be buying another 1 at some point. I just can't say enough good things about these aiders. Thank you for bringing them to the market."

HOW TO VIDEO

Customers praised these climbing stick aiders as "game changers," noting they "feel like a firm step" and are much more stable than traditional webbing aiders. The wide step platform with reflective tape and grip surface prevents foot slippage. Most appreciated the lightweight, packable design. Some concerns: the 18" step height is challenging for shorter customers or those with knee issues.

Impressed - game changer

I’m am impressed and thoroughly surprised how amazing these work. I’ve always hated aiders so I don’t take them into the woods and barely want to practice with them because they feel sketchy. I read other reviews and figured they were over selling these, but they really do feel like a firm step. I now have a single and a double because of how great they are to use.

Hunt Arsenal is the absolute best!

Over the last 2 yrs I have purchased both platforms, 4 Icon sticks, 3 Maxx aiders, and 5 minutes ago bought the Cloud RLX. I’ve used a lot of saddle equipment over the last several yrs and Hunt Arsenal is hands down the best equipment I’ve used! Thank you guys for an awesome experience with this equipment! Just killed my biggest buck to date on public land standing in my RZR Mag 2.0!

Love them

I started with 1 aider then purchased a second. My first time using an aider of any kind, and I absolutely love them. Easy install, packs up flat and neat, and has enough footroom for a size 13 boot. Great product

Great Aiders

Wonderful steps about like stairs. Light and easy to pack.No swinging off to the side when your toe slips off the tree.

These aiders are GREAT!

These aiders are GREAT! I had some webbing material aider and they got the job done but my foot would slip off the tree or difficult to slide off of the boot. The MAXX STEP is solid and easy to climb. I was a little skeptical when I received them that they wouldn’t support the weight but they work great. The only downside is that it adds extra space to the stick but once I had a system down on how to fold everything up, it’s minimal.

I would highly recommend these aiders!

Bryan

very stable as i weigh 225 and it flexes but never feels like its going to break. the only down side for me is that i run tetherd skeletor sticks and stacking them it can be tedious.

I really dig it

I'm working on a video going over more detail now @southerndrawtn via YouTube. Should be up in the next week or so but very clever design and I respect it. Will probably have every lwcg double stick I have fitted with this for upcoming season.

Thanks guys.

New Purchase

Out of the box they look great! Seem well made and as described. Didn't give 5 stars yet only because I have not used them yet.

Step distance not adjustable

The video I watched shows adjustable step height but this is set at 18 inches. That is a big step for my 28 inch inseam. I wrapped the bottom step of my stick 3 times then girth hitched and I have about a 16 inch step. Much better for my little legs. Other than that it is much more stable than my webbing aiders.

Great climbing aider that feels safe when using. Always comes back to settle against the tree. The reflective pads make it easy to find the step in the dark. I already ordered some more for a friend.

Crossbow hunter

I've looked at several riders online and feel that the Maxx Aiders are the safest to climb up and down the tree with. I'm an older hunter in my 60s and these aiders are light and will help me to not have to carry heavy multiple sticks so I can hunt higher without carrying a bunch of climbing sticks. Thanks for a great product.

Step aiders

These aiders are revolutionarily! The wide step is a game changer. They are easy on your feet, compared to a steel cable or amsteel. Also, the reflective steps make it easy to see when coming down at night.

Works great

Works way better than the regular aiders

Good and bad

More stability and easier and safer for those with knee issues. Wish it was made with a shorter step. 18” is too much for a guy with really bad knees. Wanted to buy the 2 step version but won’t now because there’s no way I could do it especially with heavy clothes. A 15-16” version would work great.

Great aider

I bought this Aider during hunting season after buying a few I personally didn't like. The maxx step is perfect for me it gives you that bite in the tree and a strudy step. As soon as the double comes in I will be buying it. Awesome aider

S
Sean

These steps are just as stable and amazing as the steps on most sticks. I’ve loved using them to gain some easy elevation to the system. Not using with their brand sticks but the Tethrd One sticks work well. Love the grip and reflective tape on the step. The elastic attachments work wonderfully.

Maxx step aider review

I put the Maxx aider steps to use the same day I received them and noticed a huge difference between my original aiders and the Maxx step aiders. I had a little more confidence with being able to make my climb. I'm an older hunter and a newer hunter, so the Maxx steps were very helpful. My only complaint with the Maxx step aiders is being a shorter person, the length of the cables on the steps tends to be a little longer than my comfortable leg length. Good product overall. I've been using them on each of my hunts and will keep using them.

Scott made sure I was made whole no questions asked. Highly recommend Arsenal as a company! The max step aiders are the only aiders I use also!

Gen 2 Aider

The only aider I've found " and I've tried several" that you never have to worry about where your foot is. And the glowing pad makes it very visible coming down in the dark.

Probably the most innovative idea that is very sturdy as well dependable. So simple but reliable.

Best aiders I've ever used.

Used these steps for the first time while scouting. They were incredibly sturdy, light weight, and folded up flush to my sticks without having to detach them. I wish I had bought them last year! Great product and way easier than the traditional aiders I've used in the past.

MAXX Double step aider

I saw these, thought that's a cool idea, but really. How good can that be? Another gimik! Awhile later, looking at them again, watching a couple of videos, considering buying another stick to go with me Skeletors for a little more height. Bought the MAXX Double step, got it yesterday, hooked it up, attached to the tree! Here is another 60 yr old feeling great about this purchase! Stable, no swing, and has my confidence, was like walking up a ladder! Thank you!

Scale of 1-10. I give it a 8+

Must admit, I was skeptical. I am 66 years old and wanted something light weight, but more stable than a typical aider. I started using these aiders as my first step up off the ground as I wanted to only trial them. I was very pleased with them. The platform does flex when your weight is on it, but in a way it actually is somewhat good as it tends to slightly wrap up around the sole of your boot and captures it. The serrated “v” does grip into the tree fairly well and minimizes the side to side sway. I have not tried them yet at a higher point up the tree, but would not have any concerns to use them. I would like the daisy chain to also allow a 14” spacing to match my Hawk stick spacing. Attaching to the Hawk stick was simple and the rubber grommet that is attached to the daisy chain allows quick easy method way to tighten the daisy chain rope to the foot cleat of the Hawk stick. All said I plan to purchase a few more of these and eliminate 1-2 hawk 30 inch sticks which could eliminate a few pounds. My plan is to use 3 Hawk helium 30 in sticks and 3 of these arsenal aiders which will put me up 15 feet to the top of last Hawk stick.
